Agressive Leads/Followers can cause major injury.

I talked to a lovely lady outside the salsa club about her recovery from a bad lead which tore her shoulder up.  It took her a year to recover.  Finally she’s back.  We talked about the importance of proper technique and taking lessons from a good instructor.  Don’t be the person causing injury when we’re just trying to have fun.

The salsa dance scene is splitting in Sacramento even though its trying to grow as well.  Everyone wants a piece of the pie.  Instructors in Sacramento need to share and be more open or else Sacramento will lose out!

Are you being looked at in your mind?

I spoke with a women at the salsa club tonight.  We discussed her mindset and thinking that others were looking at her in a negative way while she danced.  Or perhaps they had mean thoughts.  It was very hard for her just let go and dance freely.  I danced with her of course and tried to do some nerdy moves to lighten her up.  I think it worked.  Listen to this episode if you suffer from the same type of problems.
